It’s not everyday that, as a principal, you get an email like the one below directly from a new middle school student. My students inspire me!

All the classes are very interesting and I hope I am doing well.
After school on Tuesday I do Robotics and I already have a moving test robo. I hope we do well in the competitions.
I also do Film Club on Fridays and it is also very cool.

It makes all of the preparation and support we put in place for students worth it! It reminds me of the value of sharing genuine appreciation for others. Such a simple thing to do. And as we do it more and more, I hope that it becomes infectious to the point where it’s how we do things. That creates not only positive school climate but extends far beyond into our communities – small and globally.
